Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix is the Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed a knack for athletics early on discovering her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first time she tried out, she was ranked second in 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed high school and signed an agreement with Adidas. In 2004, she began her studies at her first year at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 second. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to take home the 200 meters race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her events.
